Terms and Conditions to upgrade to the US Basic/Premium Store

What is the promotion?

Eligible eBay sellers who have been invited to participate by email or by a message in My eBay Messages can upgrade their eBay.com store subscription to the next level by clicking “Accept offer” during the Announced Period. These sellers will only pay the current store fee rate during the Promotional Subscription Period (the ‘Promotional Rate’). As an example, during the Promotional Subscription Period an eligible seller can upgrade from Starter to Basic and only pay the Starter store fee, or from Basic to Premium and only pay the Basic store fee.

The ‘Promotional Subscription Period’ is the period during which the selected sellers will keep their current store level rate. The Promotional Subscription Period starts from the day the eligible seller subscribes by clicking “Accept offer” during the Announced Period and lasts 3 calendar months.

Please note: Sellers’ upgraded eBay US store level will remain active after the Promotional Subscription Period and sellers will be charged for the upgraded subscription.

• If the last day of the Store promotion is different from the last day of the calendar month, you will be charged for the remaining days of the running month. The charge will be billed on the last day of the month in which the promotion ends.
• If you wish to cancel your Store subscription after the promotion period and want to avoid the extra fees as per the previous point, please cancel your promotion on the last day of the month, prior to end of the promotion period.

Please note sellers with yearly subscription can only upgrade the store for a full year.

Who is eligible?

Sellers must be registered as a resident in one of the following countries*

Participation is linked to the seller’s account and is non-transferable

The promotion is valid only for one account that has been invited to participate by email or by a message in My eBay Messages, even if the seller has other active eBay accounts.

Only sellers who have an eBay seller account and have placed their credit card on file are eligible.

Only sellers whose accounts meet eBay’s minimum seller performance standards are eligible. Please view your Seller Dashboard to verify whether your account is currently meeting the standards.

To take part in this promotion, sellers must have been invited to participate and must have an active eBay US Starter/Basic store subscription. Sellers that have been invited to participate will have received an email and/or a message in My eBay. Please refer to «How do I get the Promotional Rate?» for more details.

When is it?

Once sellers accept the offer as described above, the Promotional Subscription Period begins and applies for the next 3 calendar months, during which the seller pays a discounted subscription fee.

How do I get the promotional rate?

Sellers who activate the offer and upgrade their store subscription with the seller’s qualifying eBay user ID, will automatically receive the Promotional Rate on their next invoice. Sellers subscribed to a US Starter store may upgrade to a US Basic store. Similarly, sellers subscribed to a US Basic store may upgrade to an US Premium store.
Sellers with monthly subscription can choose monthly or yearly term for upgrade. Sellers with yearly subscription can choose only yearly term for upgrade.

Store cancellation information

A new level of Store subscription will be deemed to start on the day of upgrade and will remain active after the Promotional Subscription Period at the level and term selected during sign up.

• If the last day of the Store promotion is different from the last day of the calendar month, you will be charged for the remaining days of the running month. The charge will be billed on the last day of the month in which the promotion ends.
• If you wish to cancel your Store subscription after the promotion period and want to avoid the extra fees as per the previous point, please cancel your promotion on the last day of the month, prior to end of the promotion period.

For the Yearly Stores subscription, a one-year commitment period is required. If a Seller downgrades or cancels the Yearly Stores subscription at any time prior to the last month of your subscription, outside of the Promotional Subscription Period, the seller will be charged an early termination fee.

The maximum value of the fee discount received for this promotion will be based on the eBay US store level that is selected during sign up.

This promotion only applies to existing eBay Starter and Basic store subscribers and is only valid for subscriptions for US (eBay.com).

Any sellers who have NOT been invited to participate are not eligible.

Sellers who have been invited to participate, have clicked Accept offer, but have not actively upgraded to Basic/Premium eBay US store during the Announced Period will not be able to participate in this promotion.

Sellers who have been invited to participate, have actively upgraded to Basic/Premium eBay US store, but have not clicked Accept offer during the Announced Period will not be able to participate in this promotion.

The Promotional Rate does not apply to eBay US store upgrades with a start date prior to the date you received the promotional offer. Additionally, the Promotional Rate will not apply to eBay US store upgrades that have happened after the Announced Period.

General Terms

eBay reserves the right to suspend, change or cancel the promotion at any time, in the event of circumstances arising which, in eBay’s opinion, make it necessary for it to do so. eBay reserves the right to add additional terms and conditions for certain parts of this promotion.

eBay also reserves the right to exclude users on the basis that their seller accounts have fallen below the minimum required seller performance standards.

The decision of eBay regarding any aspect of this promotion is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
