What you need to know
Earlier this year, we announced an exciting new way to help boost your listings’ visibility — our collaboration with Facebook Marketplace. This update helps you extend your reach into a new pool of potential buyers, by showing select listings directly on Facebook Marketplace.
We’re continuing to expand the number of listings shown, maximizing your visibility at no additional cost to you.
How it works
Eligible eBay listings will appear seamlessly integrated into Facebook Marketplace’s feed, marked with a “partnership” icon .
Your listings will display the pricing, listing details, and shipping options you've set on eBay. Currently, only listings with shipping options are shown on Facebook Marketplace, so there's no need to adjust your shipping policies or offer local pickup.
When buyers find your listing, they'll complete their purchase through eBay’s checkout process. You'll manage the transaction just like any other eBay sale, with all the usual protections and security you enjoy as an eBay seller.
Plus, there’s no additional cost to you. It’s just one more way we help you increase visibility of your listings.
Next steps
You don’t need to take any action to benefit from increased visibility on Facebook Marketplace. As long as your account is in good standing, your listings may appear on Facebook Marketplace based on interest, trends, and listing quality.

Which categories are going to be shown on Facebook Marketplace?
Listings from a variety of categories will appear on Facebook Marketplace based on factors including current shopping trends and listing quality.
How am I protected from bad buyer behavior or situations outside of my control for listings sold through Facebook Marketplace?
Because these transactions will be handled completely through eBay, you’ll receive all the same protections that you’re used to as an eBay seller, including protections against negative feedback.
Do buyers from Facebook Marketplace need an eBay account?
No. Buyers will be taken to eBay’s checkout flow, where they can either log in to an existing account or use guest checkout to complete their purchase.
Is this the same as eBay Promoted Listings?
No. You don’t need to participate in eBay Promoted Listings in order to appear on Facebook Marketplace. eBay listings are integrated into Facebook Marketplace at no additional cost to you.
Can I opt out of having my listings shown on Facebook Marketplace?
Displaying your listings on Facebook Marketplace helps you reach more buyers beyond eBay, comes at no additional cost to you, and is designed to increase visibility and sales. However, if you prefer not to have your listings visible on Facebook Marketplace, please see the opt-out instructions.
Do I have to offer local pickup for listings to appear on Facebook Marketplace?
No. Currently, only shipped listings from eBay are shown on Facebook Marketplace. In the future, eBay local listings may be included, and no additional action will be required from sellers.
