Getting paid from buyer

A successful sale on eBay is a big achievement in itself, however it is also important to know how you are going to manage the payments from buyers i.e. how you are going to get paid?

With eBay Managing Payments, getting paid for items you’ve sold on eBay is simple. Your buyers can choose from many payment methods, and you’ll receive your payouts directly in your bank account provided at the time of Payoneer registration. You should be aware that at the time of creating your eBay seller account, there are three crucial steps that need to be completed:

01.

Create your Payoneer account

02.

Link your Payoneer account to your eBay account

03.

Sync your eBay and Payoneer accounts

What does eBay Managing Payments mean?

With eBay Managing Payments it means that you can sell in one place, on eBay, and buyers have more ways to pay. You can schedule payouts at a frequency you choose (daily, as funds are available, or weekly). Regardless of how the buyer pays, payouts are initiated Monday through Friday, within 2 business days of when the buyer pays. If payouts are made to your Payoneer account, they will be made in US dollars and then Payoneer would make the payout to you in Indian currency.

When and how will you receive the payouts?

eBay sends a message when your buyer has paid and it’s time for you to ship your order. eBay makes the funds from your sale available within 2 business days after confirming the buyer’s payment. You may choose to receive payouts of available funds daily or weekly. So irrespective how the buyer has paid, you will always receive the payments in the bank account provided by you during the Payoneer registration in Indian currency.

Remember:  When eBay sends payouts to your Payoneer account, eBay deducts fees and expenses related to your sales from your funds prior to payout. Examples of eBay selling fees include but are not limited to: insertion fees, promoted listings, listing upgrades, and Store subscription fees. You will find details of your payouts, including all related fees and expenses, in the Reports section of Seller Hub or the Seller Dashboard section of My eBay.

Valuable insights

Did you know that you can choose when you want to receive the payouts?

By default, payouts are initiated daily, but you can also change to weekly payouts.

  • Daily payouts are initiated Monday through Friday and include any funds that have become Available for payout during the previous 24 hours
  • Weekly payouts are initiated on Tuesdays and include any funds that have become Available for payout Monday through Sunday of the previous week

Here’s how to change your payout schedule in Seller Hub:

  1. Go to the Payments tab in Seller Hub.
  2. Select Payout Settings.
  3. Change the frequency of your payouts from Daily to Weekly as needed. You can also change your payout schedule in Payments in My eBay.

You should ship your order as soon as you see the “Awaiting shipment” status on the Manage Orders page in Seller Hub, even if you haven’t received payment to your bank account or to your payoneer account. Don’t worry, eBay will only display this status once the buyer’s order has been confirmed.

How to track your payouts?

Tracking your payouts is simple. We’ll send you an email to let you know that we’ve initiated a payout. Additionally, each payout has its own unique Payout ID, making it easy for you to keep track of your funds.
