The costs to sell are broken down into two phases:
For most casual sellers, it’s free to list on eBay. If you list more than 250 items per month, you’ll start paying a $0.35 insertion fee per listing. Category exclusions apply.
The number of zero insertion fee listings per month is not related to the account's selling limit.
The offer for 250 free listing per month is available only on ebay.com. On other eBay sites, the number of listings with zero posting fees may be different or not available.
When will you have to pay increased or additional fees?
Fees for optional listing upgrades
When creating your listing, you can select upgrades like subtitles or setting an auction reserve price. These features incur an additional fee that will be charged whether or not your item sells.
eBay Advertising fees
Help your items stand out among billions of listings on eBay and increase the likelihood of a sale through Promoted Listings. The best thing is you only pay an ad fee if your item sells.
International fee
If your eBay registered address is in an “eBay global country”, eBay may charge an International fee. It depends on the item delivery address and the buyer's registered address.
Additional final value fees
You may be charged final value fees if you violate eBay's policy of buying or selling outside of eBay, or it may apply additional final value fees if you are not meeting eBay's performance expectations.
How fees and selling costs are charged?
Getting paid for items you've sold
Your seller fees and selling costs are automatically deducted from the proceeds of your sales, and the rest of your funds are paid directly into your checking account. So your payout amount may be different than the amount your buyer paid.
Payouts are sent to your checking account daily or weekly, biweekly, or monthly, depending on your selected preference.
Fee credits
If there was an issue with an order that you resolved, you may qualify for a credit of some or all of the fees you paid.
For eligible partial refunds, fee credits are proportional to the refund that the buyer receives. There are some situations when a buyer is refunded but you won't be eligible for fee credits.
