Shipping Policy for Packages from Japan and Korea to the United States

Following the executive orders signed by the President of the United States, items originating from Japan and Korea, valued up to US$800 will no longer enjoy duty-free.

To ensure a smooth shopping experience for buyers and maintain sellers' logistics performance, eBay is updating its shipping requirements. From the effective date of 17th October 2025, sellers shall need to use Delivered Duty Paid (“DDP”) logistics services for customs clearance for all shipments located in Japan and Korea being shipped to the United States, with a unit price of less than US$2,500.

If sellers don’t use DDP customs clearance and disputes arise with their buyers, the sellers will be responsible for resolving them, and the selling accounts may be subject to selling restrictions due to the disputes.

Items shipped from Japan via Authenticity Guaranty are not subject to this change.

We urge all sellers to review their shipping methods and ensure they meet the above rules.
