Starting July 1, 2026, the European Union is introducing a new customs duty of €3 on imported items valued at or less than €150.
To ensure a smooth shopping experience for buyers and maintain sellers’ logistics performance, eBay is updating its shipping requirements. From the effective date of 1st October 2026, sellers shall use Delivered Duty Paid (“DDP”) logistics services for customs clearance for all shipments from Japan and Korea to the European Union for which the item price, excluding shipping charges, is at or less than €150.
If sellers don’t use DDP customs clearance and disputes arise with their buyers, the sellers will be responsible for resolving them, and the selling accounts may be subject to selling restrictions due to the disputes.
We urge all sellers to review their shipping methods and ensure they meet the above rules.
