These Terms and Conditions regulate the participation of eBay sellers invited by eBay to the event eBay Southeast Asia Seller Connect 2026 (the “Event”).
Who is eligible to participate in the Event?
Only sellers who:
● are registered as professional sellers on one of eBay's sites;
● have been invited by eBay through written communication; and
● are at least 18 years of age or older.
Sellers who meet the above requirements are referred to as “Eligible sellers”. Participation by Eligible sellers is personal and the invitation cannot be sold/exchanged for other benefits or given to third parties not invited by eBay.
An Eligible seller may bring one accompanying guest to the Event, provided that the accompanying guest (“Accompanying guest”):
- is at least 18 years of age;
- is associated with or employed by the Eligible seller's business;
- provides their consent to the Event terms and conditions sent to them;
- provides their personal details.
Where and when will the Event be held?
The Event will be held on 24 June, 2026 at the Westin Grande Sukhumvit, Bangkok, Thailand. Additional details regarding the venue, schedules, and programs will be shared by eBay with the Eligible sellers at a later date.
What does eBay offer to Eligible sellers?
For each Eligible seller, eBay will offer the following services, to the extent indicated below.
Flight Reimbursement
Eligible sellers shall purchase airline tickets for themselves and Accompanying guest (if any). Upon arrival at the venue, eBay will reimburse the cost of round-trip airfare for the Eligible seller only to Bangkok, Thailand, up to a maximum amount of USD 200 per Eligible seller (“Maximum Reimbursement Amount per Eligible seller”). Details of the reimbursement process will be communicated separately.
If the airline ticket is paid in a currency other than U.S. dollars, this will be converted to U.S. dollars based on the current exchange rate for refund calculation. If the cost of airfare exceeds the Maximum Reimbursement Amount per Eligible seller for round-trip flight, the difference will be borne by the Eligible seller. Eligible sellers are responsible for obtaining any necessary travel documents (passport, visa, etc.).
Accommodation
eBay shall pay for hotel room rate for each Eligible seller for 1 (one) night at the Westin Grande Sukhumvit Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand. The hotel and room type is decided by eBay and is not subject to change requests. If the Eligible seller is interested in a room upgrade, this will be at his or her expense, as well as any extra charges beyond the cost of the room (e.g., but not limited to, mini bar, room service, food delivered, or any additional services offered by the hotel/personal expenses). For room upgrades or any other special requests, please reach out to one of the eBay contacts listed below.
eBay shall not reimburse any expenses including flight and accommodation cost for the Accompanying guest, except for lunch which will be provided at the Event.
Event Participation
Eligible sellers who will commit to taking part at the Event (“Attending sellers”) are expected to attend all scheduled activities and sessions during the Event. Attending sellers are requested to provide at least 4 days’ notice[IC5] [AB6] [AB7] if they will not be able to attend the Event. eBay reserves the right to make changes to the Event schedule, venue, or activities. Any such changes will be communicated to the Eligible/Attending sellers as soon as reasonably possible.
Non-Refundable Payments
All payments made by the Eligible sellers for themselves or their Accompanying guest for the Event are non-refundable. If a seller cancels their participation or that of their Accompanying guest, no refunds will be issued. Sellers are advised to confirm their availability and that of their Accompanying guest before completing the payment.
Consent and release
By agreeing to this terms and conditions, you irrevocably authorize eBay Marketplaces GmbH, located at Helvetiastrasse 15/17, CH-3005, Bern, Switzerland, and any of its local subsidiaries (collectively referred to as “eBay”), to:
- Use any pictures, videos, testimonials, or media that depict you or Accompanying guest (the “Media”) in connection with eBay’s offline and online platforms, advertisements, marketing, events, editorial content, and promotions.
- Reproduce, publish, display, and distribute the Media globally in any format, including social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Use your or Accompanying guest’s name, likeness, voice, location (city/state), and any biographical information as part of the Media.
- Edit, modify, or combine the Media with other materials, at eBay’s discretion.
- Sublicense these rights to third parties.
By submitting your consent, you acknowledge that the Media may be posted online and made publicly visible, which could include access from users outside the intended region. This incidental access will not be considered a violation of these Terms and Conditions.
You waive any rights to inspect or approve the Media or any accompanying material created by eBay, including moral rights related to the content.
General
The Event is organized by eBay Marketplaces GmbH, whose address is Helvetiastrasse 15/17, CH-3005, Bern, Switzerland and, who may carry out this organization through its local subsidiaries. eBay reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Eligible and Attending sellers will be informed of any significant changes via email or other appropriate means.
eBay will not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by Attending sellers during the Event or related travel. By attending the Event, Attending sellers agree to:
- indemnify and hold eBay harmless from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses arising out of or in connection with their attendance at the Event;
- comply with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations of Thailand and the venue hosting the event;
- not engage in any illegal or prohibited activities during the Event, including but not limited to the possession, use, or distribution of illegal drugs, weapons, or any other restricted items.
- indemnify and hold eBay harmless from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses arising out of or in connection with the attendance, acts, omissions, or conduct of Accompanying guest at the Event.
Attending sellers are responsible for obtaining adequate travel and health insurance coverage for the duration of their and Accompanying guest’s stay in Bangkok, Thailand. eBay reserves the right to terminate an Eligible or Attending seller's participation (or that of the Accompanying guest) in the Event at its discretion, if the seller or the Accompanying guest breaches any of their applicable Event terms and conditions or exhibits behavior deemed inappropriate or detrimental to the Event or eBay's reputation.
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by, and shall be construed in accordance with, the laws of Switzerland. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Event, including any question regarding its existence, validity or termination, shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Swiss courts.
By purchasing airline tickets and/or participating in the Event, Eligible and Attending sellers acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions in their entirety.
