An easier way to track your net order earnings

Simplify your bookkeeping and make smarter business decisions with the new Your Cost field in Seller Hub.

You asked for a simpler way to track your net earnings, and eBay listened. Since November, you may have noticed a new optional field called Your Cost in the listing tools for both new and active listings. When your item sells, you’ll see Your Cost displayed alongside your net order earnings on the Earnings page in Seller Hub.

Why this matters

eBay knows that keeping track of item-level costs is crucial for your business. The new Your Cost field gives you a clearer, more accurate picture of your net order earnings, making bookkeeping smoother. When you receive an offer from a buyer, you’ll be able to see the offer price, your cost (if you’ve added it to the listing), and the age of the listing, making it easier to decide whether to accept the offer.

Adding your cost during listing creation or to an active listing is completely optional and only visible to you.

How Your Cost helps you

  • Simplified bookkeeping: reconcile your books more easily by seeing your item acquisition costs alongside your listings and sales data
  • Smarter pricing and sourcing: price items more accurately, negotiate more confidently with buyers, run smarter promotions, and identify your most profitable inventory
  • Faster decision-making: view your cost data where you already manage sales — no need to switch tools

Where to find it

The Your Cost field is now available in Seller Hub:

  • For larger sellers: add cost info to new listings or edit active listings using the Your Cost option directly in the single and bulk listing tools
  • For smaller sellers: add cost info to new listings or edit active listings by turning on the Your Cost option in Pricing options under the Price section of the single listing tool and by selecting Customize columns in the bulk listing tool
  • Earnings Report: go to the Earnings page under Payments and view your net order earnings and Your Cost for each order, when costs were added to the items before the listing sells
  • Order Details: quickly review your cost and net earnings for any order
  • Offer flows: see your costs when receiving offers

What you need to know

Graded trading card sales on eBay just got even more streamlined.

Buyers who purchase a raw trading card worth US$250 or more and add eBay’s PSA Grading service can have it shipped directly from PSA Grading to the PSA Vault in Delaware.

This new option adds a layer of convenience and security that gives collectors more confidence in their purchases — helping sellers like you close more deals and boost buyer satisfaction.

Build buyer trust

PSA Vault is a secure storage facility that protects valuable trading cards. Previously, this service wasn’t available to buyers who added PSA Grading to their purchase at checkout. With this update, you are able to offer buyers more choice and confidence when shopping. This can lead to stronger buyer trust, more repeat purchases, and increased sales for graded trading card sellers.

Next steps

No action is required and you won't see any changes in your selling process. You’ll still ship to the Authenticity Guarantee facility as normal. From there, PSA handles grading and fulfillment based on the buyer’s chosen option.

Direct shipping to the PSA Vault is optional — buyers can still have their graded card shipped directly to them, just as before.

This service creates new opportunities, visibility, and traction for sellers in the graded trading cards space while maintaining buyer relationships.

What you need to know

Getting orders out on time is a crucial part of delivering a great buyer experience and protecting your seller ratings. With the shipping reminders, eBay's helping you keep your orders on track.

A day after an order’s promised handling time, you’ll get an extra nudge to send it out. eBay’ll send these reminders via email and notify you through the eBay app if you have it.

Once you get your shipping label, you can manually add the tracking number to the order, or have it added automatically when you use eBay Labels

After that, you’ll get two more notifications: one confirming the item has been shipped and is on its way to the buyer, and another once it’s been delivered.

Next steps

There’s no action required on your end. Just keep an eye out for shipping notifications to help make sure your items reach buyers on time.
